Hirst Yarns represent four Italian spinning mills that offer both worsted and woollen spun yarns using a wide variety of natural fibres. We work with brands both large and small as well as most knitters and weavers across the UK and Ireland.
We are here to help with any questions you may have; from checking stock, placing orders, to technical knitting or weaving questions. We are based in North Yorkshire and have a showroom in Marylebone, Central London.
We pride ourselves on offering a quick and honest service to help fulfill any yarn related queries you may have.
Way Back When
Having spent over 10 years working for some of the UK’s finest spinners, in 2006 Richard Hirst decided to start his very own yarn agency - Hirst Yarns.
The first mill Richard represented was Lanecardate who we are still enormously proud to represent to this day. Richard is now joined by his daughter Hannah and her husband David. Having considerably grown our customer base, Hirst Yarns has now grown to be a well-respected agency in the UK, representing Italy’s most prestigious spinners; Cariaggi, Lanecardate, Lineapiù, and Sesia.
